A great place nestled just outside Keene. Stayed here twice. An excellent place to relax or to start any number of Adirondack adventures.
Rock and River Lodge is set in a pristine location in Keene with welcoming and very knowledgeable staff. The rooms are very well appointed and comfortable with peaceful quiet for a good nights rest! The breakfast spread was wonderful to fuel for a busy day of hiking, climbing or whatever. For the novice, which we are, the staff provides plenty of ideas for the day as well as expert guides to help. Chad guided my daughters on a rock climb and the experience was excellent. He was professional and knowledgeable. There seemed to be no limit on the adventures to choose from whether a new hiker or an expert. We made great memories here and will be sure to return!
we have stayed here three times over the past three years. the place is amazing! great owners and free yummy breakfast.
Crazy story: we were looking for a burger as we were road tripping upstate. And we wanted a true ADK burger. We said we wanted to something like a rustic Adirondack pub. Sure enough, we found it and were very pleased!! Tons of outdoor seating and fire places to sit around while wait. There are also tons of house brews.!

Stay here every time I come to the area. Great location. Delicious breakfast included and always great tips on hiking/climbing in the area from the owner.
