The Mountain House was the most perfect spot for our wedding, the memories created by both the beauty of the location ,and the ease of setting everything up, are something I treasure every day. Four years later people still tell us how beautiful everything was!
Stayed here recently on a family vacation-absolutely wonderful. We occupied 3 of the 4 houses and we loved them all. Everything was gorgeous and in great shape, and the view was breathtaking! (Pictures don't do it justice). The inside was exactly what I would imagine for my dream Adirondack mountain house.

Ha! Kathleen, the same thing happened to us for Christmas of 2007! The old guy booked us for the entire week and then booked another group! They arrived first, so they got it. We had family coming in from all over the US. Had to rent a handful of little places all over Keene to accommodate us all. Nightmare!
My fiance and I were so excited to be having our wedding here next summer, however, despite phone and email confirmation that the weekend was reserved for us, it was double booked and we have had to search and search for a new place. I'd recommend looking elsewhere before you go through the disappointment we have felt. After showing him his confirmation, all the owner could offer was his half hearted condolences, with no suggestion of monetary compensation for all the setbacks we are now facing and vendors that are now unable to come to our new location. A professional business owner in the service industry would have handled this much differently and with more than a wink of concern.
